Step By Step Makeup Application on Sasha Maks Vintage
– I started with cleansing Sasha’s skin with Bioderma Sensibio H2O Micelle Solution, then applying Dermalogica Skin Moist (love Dermalogica products as they work for most skin types out there even the most sensitive. It’s hard to cater to everyone skin type, (being an aesthetician, I’m passionate about the preparation of the skin as it’s the most important part of the makeup application process) followed by Benefit Pore Minimizer then Napoleon Perdis Auto Pilot Concealer for primer.
For the Eyes –
I primed the eyes with Mac Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Soft Ochre – a favorite of mine, been using it for years and nothing seem to compare to other primers as Paint Pot is very silky and glides on easily on all eyelids. I used Mac Carbon eye shadow with a Mac blending brush 217 and applied it to the outer crease and blended it to the eye shape. Then using Mac blending brush 239, I applied Mac GreenSmoke to the eyelid and blended it gently. Applied a Make up & Glow green pigment (a brand from Australia) on top of that with wetting my brush with some Mac Studio Moisture Fix with a tapping motion so to get as much as pigment on the eyelid as possible.
Lined the top water line with Lord & Berry Kajal Pencilin black and applied mascara to the top & bottom lashes. I used IT Cosmetics Superhero mascara in black. Making sure to apply it from root to tip to get the maximum lift in the eyelashes.
For the face -
I applied Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation in 5.5 with a Mac 130 Short Duo Fibre Brush followed by Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Concealer in Medium Light-Neutral for under the eyes and blended it out with Mac 280 Duo Fibre Blending Brush. Followed by Mac Mineralize Skinfinsh Natural powder in Light all over the face.
I contoured under cheekbones and around the nose area with Kevyn Aucoin The Sculpting Powder in light and highlighted the cupids bow, cheekbones , chin & nose with Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette in Radiant Finish (favorite product as it caters to every skin tone and can be worn during the day or night without being too much) using a Hakuhodo Contour Brush.
Finished off with a very light application of rosy hue from the Martin Bray Pro Blocks (Dramatic eye,lip & blush) can only be bought in Australia.
